Can I just say...

I am sooo excited to come home in 5 days! Technically I leave in 4, but I'll be in Portland in 5. I cannot wait!!!!!!

On another note, I moved off campus yesterday! It's so exciting.. I miss my roomies though. But I moved in with 4 other staff girls into a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom (both with showers!) apartment. That probably seems like a crunch for five people but it's really not, especially after living with 6 girls in a one bathroom dorm room! I love it and I'm so thankful to live here, it's great.
Another blessing - my good friend, Jenna, left yesterday for a year long tour around the world with the photography school she leads.. so she GAVE me her car for that entire time!!!!! She was going to rent it out but no one trustworthy was interested, so she gave it to me, all I have to pay is insurance and gas. Such a blessing.

K that's it for now, adios!

Love Feast

Today was our student's final test and classroom clean up - that only means one thing! Time for our break! So we have a one week break officially starting tomorrow for the students to recoup before we head into second quarter of SBS. However, yesterday we had our love feast to celebrate the end of a great three months - it was a delicious lunch at the Royal Kona resort. Here's some fun pics from it!

Wedding bliss!

So, it seems to me that marriage is a hit this summer. :-) Yesterday I went shopping with my ex- roommate, Christina, for all sorts of decorations for her wedding coming in August. We went to a plumeria and orchid farm yesterday and got some great ideas from bouquets and decorations. I'm so excited to be a bridesmaid twice this summer. It's something I don't take lightly and am so privileged to be a part of two amazing women's BIG day!! The dress I'm going to be wearing for Christina's wedding, here, is this one below (this was last month when I was home trying it on) only it will be in a pink color.. very nice!

Then there is my friend Rachael who is getting married July 11 back home in Salem. When I was home last month we threw her bridal shower which was wayyyy to much fun. Here is a picture of a few of us bridesmaids trying on our dresses at the end of the shower... I'm just so excited :-) 8 Days til I head home!!!!

My wish is my command!

So I wanted that latte in the blog below... and God blessed me with a coffee date with my roommate Tedi! She technically owed me a coffee from a bet we made last week.. but it is still a treat. It's a Kailua 'n cream! Gosh, now we're planning what time to walk it off this afternoon. So my last couple blogs have been short and not deep at all, but I'll make that up sometime.

Adios!

Whoa!

I WANT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Hakani project

Hello blogging buddies! So, before you watch it, let me explain the video below. Currently, there are indigenous tribes in Brazil who are first of all completely lost from the truth of Christ's love. One of the worst things going on in these groups is infanticide of children if they are illegitimate or have any sort of birth defect. A group of YWAMers made a movie to expose this horrible problem, and it will be coming out in theaters on the mainland pretty soon, I believe. We are fighting hard against this, by emailing letters to the Brazilian government as well as the U.S. government to stop this horrible thing, making it illegal. Up until now the Brazilian government doesn't care too much about what happens to the children in these groups but we want to stop that because every life is incredibly important!!!!!! So, by watching this video you are helping support the cause we are fighting for to free innocent children from messed up tribal traditions. It's really hard to watch so if you can't watch the whole thing that's ok. It's especially hard if you have children. By the way Hakani is a little girl who was buried alive but survived, shot at with arrows by her grandpa but survived and shunned from her tribe as a little baby but still survived. She was saved by YWAMers down near her tribe and she is the reason we are fighting for this - she has no problems whatsoever and is such a special little girl! Her name means "smile" bless you!

me and my crazzzzy roomie

Just to give you a chuckle, me and my roommate had a fun time this afternoon with some blown up balloons in our room. Actually what spurred it on was that my friend here, Natalie, just had twin baby girls on Thursday morning - and is already back on campus with them! So I went over to their place with my roommate Tedi and held the sweet lil ones. It was awesome. After that we were like I WANT BABIES! So we got creative with some balloons and here's what happened. Plus some random photos of us messin around. :-) Enjoy.

Endlessly

This morning in worship we sang this song - it's one we sing a lot at Outward in Salem but it really touched me today, and I wanted to share about it! It's by Desperation Band and I'm tempted to buy the cd. Anyways, here are the lyrics.. check it out!

Saviour of my soul,
Lover of my life,
I love You endlessly,
Passion of my heart,
Everything You are,
I love You endlessly.

You love me,
Before I knew of You,
You love me,
Now I give it back to You.

With Your Majesty here,
I fall to my knees,
I love You endlessly,
With the beaty of Your Son,
I find myself undone.
I love You endlessly.

Saviour of my soul,
Lover of my life,
I love You endlessly.
Passion of my heart,
Everything You Are,
I love You endlessly.

You love me,
Before I knew of You,
You love me,
Now I give it back to You.

With Your Majesty here,
I fall to my knees,
I love You endlessly,
With the beaty of Your Son,
I find myself undone.
I love You endlessly.

You love me,
Before I knew of You,
You love me,
Now I give it back to You.

I WANT MORE OF THAT!!!!

Henna Blossoms

So lately I have been in "Song of Solomon lala land," as I call it. Jesus is still completely romancing me through this book, so I have been spending so much time soaking it up and it is really amazing. In Song of Solomon chapter 1:14 "My lover is to me a cluster of henna blossoms from the vineyards of En Gedi," I am completely entranced in this idea of henna blossoms.. so I googled it! I found this drawing of henna blossoms and think I'm gonna get it tattooed on my wrist, with the top of it near my hand with either the word Beloved in Hebrew, or the verse in Song of Solomon 2:16 "I am my Beloved's and my Beloved is mine." in Hebrew!! I'm so excited.

This is SOS 2:16 in Hebrew - I may get it in brown rather than black.

Well that's about it for now I think. I am 'suffering' with a cold. Random, huh? It's getting SO HOT in Hawaii with summer around the corner and I have a cold?! haha so weird. Hmph
